Learning Expectations
To learn more about the math learning expectations of first graders, click the links to your left. With the help of these lists and their attached activities, you will be able to aid your first grader in improving their mathematical skills at the pace they need.
1st Grade Math
First Grade is the time when students build on the mathematical foundations they learned in Kindergarten. Students will move forward with their knowledge of addition and subtraction, as well as geometry and measurement. Specific skills they need to learn are to recognize basic fractions, as well as to count by ones, twos, and tens.
