Help children understand the concept of a bar graphy by having them create graphs based on their research using Teddy Bear counters. The children can begin by classifying the Teddy Bear counters by color. Have the papers and blocks (for the bar graph) prepared for the students. They can color in the correct amount of blocks representing the amount of Teddy Bear colors they have. Be sure to discuss various words related to the bar graphs and have an open discussion pertaining to how the bar graph represents the Teddy Bear counters.
