To teach students about shape combinations, give all students the same set of blocks and ask them to race to see who can take the blocks he/she is given and create a cube, or hexagon first. Then give the winner a prize and hold multiple rounds. It will teach the students the desired skill while creating a contest out of it and allowing the students to play a quick fun game.
