Create a class quilt made of perfect squares. Give each student a square piece of paper. Each student chooses a number from 1-10 and an object they will draw to represent the number squared. For example, let's say someone choose the number eight and decided to use ladybugs as their object. So that student would draw eight rows of eight ladybugs, or eight columns of eight ladybugs, depending on how you look at it. If that seems to complicated for them, use precut squares of construction paper instead of having them draw the objects. Display their work together as one big math quilt.
