Have the children pretend they are farmers. Have them play a game. Game: Make different color eggs out of construction paper. Tell them that chickens will hatch out of the blue eggs, ducks out of the yellow eggs, and Turtles out of the Green eggs. Show an example of each by the egg. Line up the different eggs in a pattern....for example two blues, 3 yellow and 2 green. Repeat. Have them predict which eggs will hatch what animals and how many total animals they will end up with.
