This is a great activity that kindergarteners can do to quickly show their mastery of numbers. You could use beans or any number of small objects as long as 10 or more of them will fit on an index card. Write the numbers from 0 to 10 (or more), with each number on an index card. Give the child a small container of beans and ask them to put the corresponding number of beans onto each card to match the number on the card. We use beans but you could use anything that fits and stays on the card.
